Visitors in the EU may address all data protection matters directly to info@fidesgloballink.com, in German or English.
Where your data is processed
Our company is based in Shenzhen, China, and that is where we read and answer your enquiry. The European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision for China, which means the level of data protection there has not been recognised as equivalent to that in the EU. We tell you this before you send us anything, so that you can decide. Our web server and our mailboxes are hosted in the United States (section 2).
2 · Visiting the website
The website is static. Opening a page sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising tool, and nothing is loaded from third parties — the fonts are hosted on our own server.
Hosting
The website and our mailboxes are hosted by Bluehost, operated by Newfold Digital Inc., on servers in the United States. Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Logs are retained for at least 30 days.
Because the server is in the United States, opening the website transmits your IP address to a provider there. The same applies to anything you send us through a form: it arrives in a mailbox on that server and is stored there until we retrieve it (section 4). Newfold Digital Inc. is not certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is therefore based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which form part of our hosting contract (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR).
3 · The map
The map does not load automatically. You first see a preview panel; only when you click it does your browser contact Google Maps (on the Chinese page: OpenStreetMap) and transmit your IP address there. Legal basis: your consent by clicking, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Without that click, no data leaves our server.

4 · Contact, quotation and application forms
| Form | Data | Goes to |
|---|---|---|
| Request a Quote | request type, name, company, e-mail, phone, country, message, optional drawing (PDF/ZIP) | rfq@ and info@fidesgloballink.com |
| Write to Marcus | name, company, e-mail, phone, message | marcus@fidesgloballink.com |
| Contact us | name, company, e-mail, phone, message | info@, marcus@, anita@ and betty@fidesgloballink.com |
| Career application | name, e-mail, phone, position, message, CV, cover letter, references (PDF) | marcus@ and anita@fidesgloballink.com |
Uploaded files are not stored on the web server. They are read once, attached to the e-mail and then discarded by the server. The e-mail itself, including the attachment, is then held in our mailbox — which, as set out in section 2, is located in the United States.
Purpose and legal basis
Handling your enquiry and taking steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The same provision covers job applications: an application procedure is a pre-contractual measure carried out at your request.
Retention
- Enquiries and quotation requests: for as long as the business relationship lasts or an order still appears possible. Enquiries that have not led to a business relationship within 36 months are deleted at our annual review. We work in mould making, where two or three years can pass between an enquiry and an order.
- Job applications: 6 months after the end of the procedure, then deleted. Longer storage only with your consent. If you are hired, the documents become part of your personnel file.
Before you send
Each form tells you, above the send button, that your data is processed in China and that no adequacy decision exists for China. The application form additionally asks you to confirm that you have read this notice. That confirmation records that you were informed; it is not a consent you would have to give, and withdrawing it is not necessary — the processing rests on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
5 · Recipients outside our company
FGL Technologies India Private Limited, Pune, India
Where you wish to place a mould design or filling analysis order in Pune, we pass on your name and business contact details together with the technical documents, so that the company can contact you directly. It is an independent company and decides on its own how it processes your data; the contract is concluded between you and that company, not with us. The European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision for India. The transfer takes place because you have asked for it and it is necessary for the contract you wish to conclude (Art. 49 (1) (b) GDPR).
Our hosting provider
As set out in section 2.
We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to advertisers, and we do not use it for any purpose other than answering you.
6 · E-mail contact
If you write to us directly, we process your address and the content of your message to answer you. Ordinary e-mail is not encrypted in transit; for confidential drawings we can agree a different channel.
7 · Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, and you may withdraw a consent you have given with effect for the future. Write to info@fidesgloballink.com.
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your EU member state.
8 · Changes
We update this policy when the way we work changes. Current version: 3 September 2026.
9 · Legal notice
Our full company details are set out in the legal notice.
